TIMM is a German developer and manufacturer of explosion-proof measurement and control equipment. Since 1963, the products of TIMM provide safe loading and unloading of inflammable liquids a well as qualified access control to hazardous areas, mainly for use in the petrochemical and chemical industry.
All products are developed utilising an intelligent explosion protection concept (IEPC) that is unique to TIMM. The German manufacturer developed the IEPC concept to ease commissioning and maintenance in hazardous areas to legally open the housing of all devices during operation and still adhering to all respective safety standards.
The product range of TIMM includes
• the well-known EKX-4 Grounding Control Device
• the 2017 Tank Storage Awards winning EUS-2 Overfill Prevention Controller
• the new SEK-3 Marine Grounding System
• access control and data processing technology for safe processes in potentially explosive atmospheres
• the new EKX-4 LT (Low Temperature) Grounding Control Device
About our EUS-2 OVERFILL PREVENTION CONTROLLER:
BENEFITS
✔ plain text messages display in mother tongue of the operator
✔ opening of the housing during operation in hazardous areas is allowed (IEPC)
✔ intuitively operation of configuration menu via innovative joystick navigation
✔ serial data interface (Ex ib) for connection with the TExi data bus (intrinsically safe data bus by TIMM)
APPLICATION
• prevents an overfilling
• monitors the grounding
• monitors vapour recovery connection
• automatic recognition of the connected tank truck according to European standard EN 13922 and American standard API RP 1004
• explosion protection for worldwide use according to IECEx and the European ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU as well as Russian TR-CU and Indian CCOE/PESO approval
• complete compatibility – independent from the sensor manufacturer – with all 5-wire, 2-wire or other sensors according to EN 13922
• monitoring of tank trucks with up to 12 compartments
FUNCTIONS
• overfilled compartments are shown in the plain text display
• continuous self-monitoring of the safety-related internal device components and external tank truck connection equipment
• several standard signals for “filling release“: 2 voltage free closing contacts (Ex e), 1 Ex-i output
• additional control output, configurable for various control tasks
