Walter Wattenbergh, Group CEO, joined LBC Tank Terminals in April 2015.
In 1986, Walter built his own company together with a partner to operate barges in Europe and act as shipping agent for the growing barging industry. In 1994, he sold the company to Stolt-Nielsen, which he joined to build out Stolt-Nielsen’s Inland shipping business.
Later he assumed the additional responsibility of Stolt-Nielsen’s Inter European fleet. He was then promoted Managing Director for all of Stolt-Nielsen’s activities in Europe.
In 2004, he took over the terminal division, which under his leadership expanded from 5 to 20 terminals.
